well the guy asked for his account to be deleted, so there's that...

Really ? =- why what the hell.

This makes no sense to me.
Anyway - its nice to see what's possible with Corona, I am loving using it.
End of story in that case.

Lets all just play nice :)

Not sure about the spitting oil - looks a little too perfect the way it all "pops" up vertically.

The material on the Le Creuset pot is great.

Nice work

Just to chime in here, at which point was there any offence
His last response may have been pointed but I have to say I don't think there has been anything offensive posted here.

The renders are wonderful - I mean truly great.

i love the mood. Commercially our clients would never want a winter scene with naked trees and a wet floor.
You know people only buy and sell property when the sun shines :)

I love the images and whilst I appreciate we are all in a quest to achieve perfection the time taken to achieve this level of quality
is awesome.

My clients wouldn't blink at an image like this - they would not question 3d or real. They would believe it was 3d any day.

Do they look finished to you ?
I'd say they belong in the WIP category

Work in Progress/Tests / MY FIRST RENDER
« on: 2014-07-06, 17:03:21 »
Hello.

Finally after waiting what felt like forever to get my hands on Corona (due to running max 2015)
I am pleased to post my first WIP render.

This is straight off Corona - no post and no major tweaking in VFB

I am keen to get your comments and criticism

ignore the time stamp on the render - I went to bed and left it cooking - it was clean much sooner than this.

I already see the jaggies under the oven - not sure why this is - any ideas ?

Thanks in advance

I am at the beginning the learning curve  -this is truly inspiring and a little overwhelming

When I am still working out basics this blows my mind.

Congrats on a stunning set of images.

Ok   -so to conclude this

The portal added and a region render done

Light samples multi set to 4 and only 300 passes done on the region
I have composited that region onto a generally clean render and its looking spot on to me

Thanks for the help - renders attached
Informative and useful - thanks guys

I hear you - People get upset far too easily.

Thanks again for the advice - just running a region on that area with a portal at the door

No doubt i will create some really weird situations.

I understand now this is not artifacting - i just need to get used to this render engine -

like the software so far - and its only early days

It is actually ultra-easy:

I've made a quick video to show you how:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FzWevplrI0

There's only one important thing to keep in mind. Due to the bug in VFB, when you render region, and then click save, it will only save the region, EVEN if there is some remaining data from previous render outside of the region. It will always save just region with black around it. But luckily, you can work around it by clicking Ctrl+C button and pasting it in Photoshop, or even MS Paint ;)

Interesting Rawalanche - I followed your tutorial video on region rendering

when i regioned out that area behind the book shelf and then hit control c and paste into photoshop the entire render came with it - not just the small area
I did not get the black box issue -

My test image in photo shop is now a series of renders layered over my original "noisy" render but each is the full scene render

Has this been addressed in A7 or something because I dont get he same issue you mentioned

The ability to region out a trick part of a shot and then continue with that part done and build the rest of the image around it will be cool.
