Sorry for the confusion.
Yes theres is a problem, but not as I mentioned, its not a resolution issue, its how you insert the texture in environment background.
If you configure the tiling before connecting to environment map, the image is wrong displayed.
But if you insert the image first and then adjust tiling, everything works ok.
This doesnt happen with 3ds max Bitmap.

Hi Marcin
I totally forgot to mention that Im using Max 2026.1 with Corona 13 but I remember that I had it in previous versions too.
I dont think youre doing something wrong, its the map resolution, Im testing with half pixels and its displaying correctly.
The map has 3200x3000 px, hope this is this not a Corona bitmap limitation?
Another annoying thing that I noticed is that every time I connect a Bitmap in background the Enviroment resets to spherical type, is this something from 3ds Max?

Hi
I remember seing something similar in another post but I couldnt find it.
I cant recall if this happened before but while using IR with white color as environment, this splotch appears in the center of the image.
Im using Max 2026.1 and Corona 13

I noticed that Corona Bitmap doesnt display correctly in background viewport while 3ds Max bitmap does it, dont know if theres something wrong with my bitmap or file or is a bug

I was also wondering — is there a way to use vertex maps (or something similar in 3ds Max) to blend between the different textures more smoothly?
Something like soft transitions between grass, gravel, and rocks, instead of hard material ID cuts?


iToo has a free plugin to do this without using vertex paint, for simple transitions could help

Or you could also use a CoronaTriplanar texture on each sub-material to control different mappings per sub-material, as CoronaTriplanar map has precedence over UVWmap modifiers.

Youre totally right, I always forget to use that map, that would be the simplest way without worring which map has which channel, you can connect multiple maps in a single Triplanar with Additional Outputs.

In 3ds Max we have Multi/Sub-Object material where we can use different materials in a single object, assigned via poly/element ID.
To control individually the mapping of the material you should have to assign a map channel to each texture in each material and use multiple UVWmap modifier with the desired map channel, theres no need to assing different channel if its behaivior is the same, you can control multiple materials with a single uvwmap.

Hi all , any tutorial on how to use the AI enhancer... is it similar to a stable diffusion process with paint or custom alphas?

At the moment you dont have any kind of control, just upload the image and use a button to enhance and thats it.

Sorry to ask, but how do we use the AI Enhancer? I added the element, tried to go to Chaos cloud, but it was not clear for me how to proceed.

1 Add AI enhancer Render element
2 Render image that has RE
3 Use magic wand icon to upload image
4 Once it has been added, Upload File or Upload new version
5 Once uploaded Open in Cloud
6 In Chaos Cloud select the image and use Enhance (it will take a little while)
7 Once finished you can use compare utility if you click in the name above

The Enhancer will see some improvements either just before or not long after the release of Corona 13, which should help in things like the second case. Then later in the year the AI Enhancer team will be adding additional controls which will let you select objects in the scene to determine whether they get enhanced or not so you can further fine tune things if any objects remain problematic, and then beyond that there will be ongoing improvements to it over time as well of course :)

"It should have extended functionality to allow selecting particular parts of the image for processing, e.g. by using ObjectID or Cryptomatte masks or similar."

Hi all
Im testing the new AI enhancer
It is really amazing the ressults with people and complete scenes, but, when testing with objects the ressults are very strange.
I know this is still in development but, are we gonna have values that we could tweak in order to dont let the AI to take completely freedom?
