Hello Guys i need your help,

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I have two problems with the tile shader:
- by placing it in the displacement, the tile shader provides jagged edges
- inserting it into the bump doesn't work, it doesn't feel the weight of the bump at all

Hi there, perhaps try adding a Corona displacement tag to the object and enable/play around with the screen size.

Increasing gap blur would also help a lot.

Regarding bump issue, try to plug it through Corona bump converter.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Regarding the bump I don't understand what you mean.
The If I put any texture inside the Tile Shader for the normal/bump, the material doesn't feel any bump.

Isn't it that you were wrong with the 3dsmax version which has many added features compared to the Cinema 4D version?

Could you please try using the Tile shader inside of a Filter shader?
I mean like this:
Material->Bump->Filter->Tile shader
Please let us know the outcome.

I can confrim Bump is not working when using Tile shader in Bump slor.
Using filter doesn't help.

Any news regarding this?

I know nothing about the Tile Shader. I downloaded the scene and I also have no bump effect. I added the Filter node. I also tried a Normal node just to see. I increased the bump to 1000. I tried UVW, Object and World. The scale of the scene looks okay to me. I moved the sun to enhance any bump effect. Also tried subdividing the object several times. I got nothing.

Mac r25 and v12 Daily.

hey benjamin, could your share yours scene? Bump isnĀ“t working for me either.
(BtW do you us another c4d/corona version? Everything is working for you :D )

I've changed (Bengamins file) from UVW to Object and the bump is not visible anymore.
So I guess the bump is working only for UVW Tile projection.
Very annoying I must say.

Yes indeed, this is currently a limitation with the Tile shader unfortunately :\

If use the Corona Tile shader directly for your bump effect (without anything plugged into into the Tile shader) then you need to be in UVW mode and you need the filter shader in between.
