Title: Corona Distance map
Post by: Eddoron on 2018-01-24, 19:17:15
I didn't see it on the Roadmap.
The current c4d proximal shader could do a similar job but it is EXTREMELY slow in Corona, so it would be nice if we could get that too.

The native C4D Proximal map does something similar - not identical, but depending on what you want to achieve, it may do the trick. Let us know!

We can get the proximal shader working but it doesn't work as well as the distance shader in max. For one, i can't seem to find a way for it to recognize volumes other than by subdividing the objects im using to generate the mask. I'm sure there's a way that someone else may be able to figure out, but it's a pain nonetheless.

The internal Proximal Shader is not that great :/
