Hi all,

Im looking for a tutorial, something factual, concerning vertex painting 4 textures on a terrain.

Grass
Stone
Leafs
Dirt

Render in corona, i've tried with the layered material but i cannot get something satisfying or at least something.

Anyone would have a clue or some tips about this?

thank you

Maybe it would help if you could tell where you are struggling? Is it creating vertex paint masks, or setting up layered material?

So you have a single object (like a ground plane) and you want to paint vertex color masks on it, and then apply a different material to each mask?
I am sure we can help with that, but if you wish to create scene features such as grass, stones, leaves, then maybe using scattering systems would be better than just applying different textures?

Actually both....

I know im wrong but i don't know why. And if i add a second vertex paint modifier, i cannot see the first vertex paint's modifier's result in view port.

thank you

Yes, but this one i know how to do it, that's the problem. But it's better, you're right.

Here's a simple scene with vertex colours painted over multiple map channels, layered material and corona scatter setup with vertex paint masks. Hopefuly you will be able to decipher it.
