[Max] General Discussion / Re: render time / denoising

Im running the test now

I think that problem in his case is a lot of real refractive glass. Since balcony railings are made out of glass, he can not afford to use twosided glass there as it would not show correct refraction. Objects occluded by real glass are still a problem in Corona.

Can I do something to twek this? Im using two sided glass becouse the glass was made by boxes (spline extruded on the case of the railings) and on the windows boxes (editable poly's)

cheers,

Hi,

I dont know if this is the right place for this...
Is there a way to get a less noise image in less time?.... any way, i think if i let this image run it woul take a lot to get with out of noise.

I used the rawalanche tip for animation to gess how much quantitiy of passes i need with a region, 150... and with the hole image it takes 2:30 hs to make 63 pases. around 6 hours..

Here i attach the image and the settings,

Cheers,

Thanks keymaster for the embedding,

Here i attach some test with animation... just a camera movement around the model.

Cheers.

Hi Keymaster,

I tryed the last build and you have fixed it!!! transforming vertices 5s!!

Quote
yes, but the ones that work fine do not have lots of objects in them ;)

Yes you are right, the storage is a huge problem i have unresolved.... the NAS is good option, and secure on, but is to slow! I have to find other solution....

looks like I've fixed it, try the newest release build on dropbox. Off to sleep ;)

Great bro!! really good news!!! i will try it tomorrow

BTW: I bet the scene is on some slow disk

you smart a.........!!!! :) indeed it is, but all my files are on it (the ones work fine and the ones transforming vertices), for matters of workflow i have to save all the work on NAS. the Work Stations have SSD for system propuses.

BTW: congrats! really admire your work, i can get that you love what you do.

Cheers

I will give exatly values tomorrow..

but....

max 2012
between 30s/60s on the file I upload with meterial aplied / without material (simple corona material withe) aplied = 0s
core I7990x 24gb ram
could be, but not shure on this.

Cheers,

I have this geomtry extracted of a big file i have like 350mb. With a simple corona material (white it have no problem) with a material with some tweaks and maps like difuse it takes long time transforming vertices.

Here I upload de file.

Cheers.

Hi,

To use this feature i have to down the daily builds? If this is right i have to give keymaster my dropbox acount... right?

I dont know the magnitud of what im asquing next, but, can't you get your scatter stronger too?

Cheers,

i think is that type of material (multi) on objects that have intersected geometry. but not sure

core i7990x 24gb ram / w7

just for try can you aply a simple corono material to all the scene?

I think is when you have an a multisub object material and the corona submaterials have a map on the difuse............

I will continue testing.....

Cecofuli,

You are going to write "corona the complete guide" ?  :)

I think  i have found the problem at least in my files.
Is a window multi sub object with glass / metal / plastic.

If you want i can send you the material.

Cheers,
