Well ... I really don't see the point of this video.

Always thought that making-of should go in detail about the acctual making of the final image you present.
This video on the other hand shows us that you can navigate the max interface, as well as changing the materials to Corona ones and set up the render (roughly).

Dude i really wish you well, but right now it seems that you put too much emphasis on getting attention for yourslef, rather than the acctual technical and architectural aspects of creating a pleasing image.

So:
TEXTURE TILING - awfull! always try to look @ reall world reference when working. Have you ever seen an entire bathroom made of one block of marble ? perfectly homogenous marble ? No ? Then you are correct. Now look @ your picture again.

BACKPLATE - totaly pixelated, contrast doesnt match the one of the acctual rendering, same as the mood.

MATERIALS - 90% of them look plastic, the other part look hilarious - curtains seem to be carved out of ice, same as the taps near the tub etc.

IES profiles do not match the light sources you used - they light the ceiling, moreover they reflect in the mirror.

Well i tried my best,  maybe others will add something. I have enough lol

Dude ... I don't want to be rude or something but really ... ?
Someone i one of your earlier topics elaborated widely on what you should improve and you improved nothing !
All you seem to do is to open some ready made scenes convert them to Corona using widely known script, render the scene and ask for criticism.
Oh and by the way, good work is not about using instagram filters on your renders. It's much more complicated.

[Max] I need help! / Simulating Vrayblend mtl
« on: 2014-05-16, 10:58:03 »
Hello,
was just wondering what is the best solution to date to simulate Vrayblend mtl ?
Will stacking classic blend materials produce the exact same results ?
Any hints when generic Corona layered material will be available ;) ?

I think that those look very promissing. As a side note I think that You should pay attention to saturation of the materials. I'm under an impression that many of the woods are slightly oversaturated.

fastest possible solution with correct results is single plane, twosided (thin) mode, portal checkbox enabled

Thank You Ondra.
Do normals direction matter in this case ?

@ Rawalanche - thank You for explaining the 'magic ;)
One more question if I may - what solution is better noise wise - solid geometry glass in windows or thin geometry ?
Portals or no portals ?

@ daniel.reutersward

Thank You!

Ok then, hope not to be too nosy ;)
Could You go more in depth into settings (more or less default - or something altered) ? I mean in the last couple of months many myths (dont know what is right and what is wrong) about settings emerged, would be awesome if someone getting good reults could clarify those things a bit :)
Any portals used ?
Are the glass panels in windows thin surfaces or thick geometry ?
Could You please show some more coplex materials setups (whichever You think are more complex) ?
And last thing - Your machine specs and render times per frame (no of passes would be great!)
Sorry if I'm too nosy, but those renders are simply eye-candy!

Spectacular!
Materials look awesome.
Mind sharing some info about your workflow - lighting exp ? Is this HDRI or regular Corona sky/sun ?

Tanakow, You sound polish too. But as far as i know we're both polish so i guess it's OK, isnt it ?
Your post was to have a deeper meaning, or what ? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what You were trying to say ;)

Hello,
Any news on A6 ? I think you guys (devs) could try keeping the eagerly awaiting comunity updated more frequently ;)
Not everyone has the time to invest in too much testing to get to the dailies (i still dont get it why they are some sort of exclusive ? make usage of them on the own responsibility of the user etc. and you will get more intell on possible bugs - imho you can only benefit from it, not vice versa) .
On the other hand this renderer is so promissing that many would want to switch, and start rebuilding their props and assets, and work out their own workflows.
However - my own exaple - if it would turn out that the rendering speed in distributed mode is no sufficient to match the needs, it would be a waste of time for the time being untill corona gets faster :)
Cmon guys, we're facing serious decisions here, try to undestand and support your future customers :D !
