seems a lot of us are in the same situation…. i use 2 cinema4d in 2 diferente computers but only working in one and render in other…

That's right, in many cases clients do not wait and jobs must be delivered quickly.
Waiting for the render to finish with another scene is not a good option.
2 computers, one to work, create scenes and another to render.
it is the ideal.

If Corona creates a system that only makes the render it would be spectacular.

It can be a license with installation in a single computer, but with a rendering system in other computers, without using the resources of the computer where it was installed.

Corona would be the first to do it, it would be great.

It would be nice to have a renderer for other computers, in this way while the other computer renders in which we have installed a crown we can continue working in other scenes.
It can be a system that only renders and does not allow modifications.

It would be something spectacular that other rendering engines do not have.
It can make the difference of Corona to the other render engines.

Because it would not be profitable to buy 2 licenses, and use only one to render.

Well, it's my opinion.
Some of us can not waste time while the machine renders

Hello friends, happy year for everyone.
Great news to know that we already have Corona ready and without errors.

However!! I have 2 doubts
Excuse my ignorance on this subject ..... what are the nodes?
I see that there are licenses with 3 nodes, 5 nodes and 10 nodes.

Another question I have is ...
I have 2 computers, in one I do all the work, modeling, lighting ... etc, and when the work is already approved, I pass it to the other computer to render it.
This to not stop my work and keep doing other scenes.

Which license do you recommend to buy?

For my part I think it is better not to download more updates until the commercial version is ready.
I have not installed the latest version, I see that it comes with some errors.
Touch wait for the final version

Some time ago I said that the time between one version and the other was slower.
Ok that's not the problem,
The problem is the big difference between Vray and Corona.
when V takes 6 minutes, C takes 23
Using the same parameters, even C helped by denoising
I mean interior renders, not exteriors.
I know what I'm talking about, I have time using
Vray and Corona, and I put the same parameters in the 2
so I do not think I'm doing something wrong

I can accept a difference of V 6 minutes and C 8 minutes
but not so much.

hello team, I'm sorry to write again on this topic, but !! in truth the CORONA times are very high.

I do not think I'm the only person who's going through this.

I love Corona, I like how he interprets the lights, the strength of his lighting, how easy it is to use it ....... etc.
That's why I'm writing to you because I'm worried and I do not want to be changing engines in different jobs.
Surely many do not care about the details of their finish.
But my jobs do need that detail.
My client sells products to decorate interiors, floors, walls ..... etc.
And he wants his product to be perfectly detailed.

Here I pass another proof of render times.
Please, I need your help, to know of decision to take
please
please
help
Thank you

Overall, your render times seem really slow, but yes, if you are rendering large format sizes, that is going to take some time, no matter what render engine. 16 minutes on that chair leather seems slow too, so I would ask: what is your scene optimization like and what are your hardware specs?  Are you using a quad core laptop or a 18 core tower? Is your scene full of parametric generators (nested sweeps, boolean, subdivision objects, symmetry, Clones)? This can have a huge effect on how the scene is handled by any engine. I do big scenes with lots of objects (but usually only 2500 px wide) and Corona rips through it. So I'm curious about your hardware setup first.

I do not use laptop, above is the description of the computer, with it big 3d design works are done

All the topics that we expose in the forum are important.
The render time in my opinion is very important.

I hope someone from the team can make a comment.
Renders of products for interior decoration where the client demands
sharpness in the details ........... is where the corona rendering times are high.

It is the first time that I make a comparison of renders.
But I realized that when there is grass or hair in the scene, the crown motor takes a long time.
I do not know if the rendering delay is because of the small carpet that is in the scene.
In short I do not know what could happen in that scene.

But!! the scene of the chairs we noticed a great difference of time.
Apart from the quality of the result, the rendering time is very importan

For comparison: Most of the time i render 9000 x 6000 pixels @72dpi. Since these are Converted CAD-Files my polycount is quite large. Between 3000000 and 6000000. This being said, My rendertimes vary between 2 to 6 hours at a noise level between 1 and 2 before denoising.

So I guess you are rendering 190cm x 240cm @300 dpi, and for that size, 32 hours in my opinion is not too bad.
How many Renderclients did you use?

Thanks for comment
ok, I explain myself well.
I know that the images that go to big impressions the pixels go down to 36 or less on their real size.
I have been working on this for years and I have some knowledge about it.

About the image that I speak here is 190 centimeters by 240 centimeters
to a resolution of 72dpi, since it goes in an internal window of a store
and you will see less than 1 meter.

this theme if we take it to pixels would be 5385pixels for 6803 pixels.
As you know, it's not an exaggerated size
The noise level that I put is 5
After 2 hours of analyzing the engine he said that the estimated time would be 32 hours.
So I stopped the work and changed the render engine.

So simple that I did the leather chair test, where
there you can see the results.

Hello team, I hope you are very well.
I'm writing for the next topic.

The other day I had to deliver a render to a client of 190cm x 240cm
The work was done in Corona B2. noise level 6
rendering time 32 hours

For that reason I had to stop the render and change the render engine.

For the commercial render your work times will improve?
It's good to know that we can expect to have the commercial version.

Here I did some comparative tests on render times

Glad you guys are enjoying it so far. I think most of us are ;) In regards to the dynamics issues, these are more complicated to iron out and thus far, the process is a lengthy one. It will be solved though, don't you worry. ;) Gobos for lights? Although this can easily be done with supported Cinema lights to my knowledge there are no plans at this time. Please make official requests in the appropriate thread As for an introductory offer, I think it being free for so long has been a pretty good deal ;)

It was an excellent strategy, in which we all benefit.
We contribute with error detection,
also now we have a lot of projects done with Corona
for that reason we are in love and of course we are the number 1 customers
to buy the product.

In short we all win ....... I look forward to January 7
to get the commercial version

Imagine CORONA RENDER with an AMD Threadripper, 32 cores should
fly...........

Thanks ODDVISIONARY,
then do not pay attention to those videos.
I will only use corona lights with that render engine

May I ask why you're using C4D lights and not Corona? Of course you have every right to, just wondering. ;)

I saw some tutorials where they say that Corona accepts lights from C4D, and I wanted to try directional lights to see its termination.
I think!! that if corona accepts this type of lights it is for something ..... and for that reason I used it.

Now, seeing that Corona accepts these lights and how he wanted to play with the shadows was doing tests.

Some time ago in this forum I asked if only CORONA lights should be used, and I
They put the links of the videos where it is accepted.

What do you advise me, do not use them, and only work with CORONA lights?

I think it does not explain me well ... I'm using 4D cinema lights, not Corona
I'm using focus and the shadows are hard, I think I should use area light to avoid that
