[C4D] Bug Reporting / Missing Textures with Take System?
« on: 2019-02-24, 23:06:03 »
When trying to send Takes to the picture viewer, it's throwing an error saying I have missing textures. The textures it's saying are missing were actually deleted from my project a long time ago and they aren't used anywhere. In my Texture Manager it's showing green checkmarks next to everything, so I know there aren't textures somewhere I'm not using. When I render regularly to the picture viewer, it doesn't show any error.

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / Re: Displacement broken

Displacement still doesn't work with material stacking?

I was able to use the Layer shader and choose multiple textures to use as displacement. Then use a Projection shader for each layer for the placement of my textures. The problem I ran into is that the projection shader lacks a "Side" (Both/Front/Back) option, so your texture will end up projecting on both sides of your model. Not sure why Maxon omitted this. So at this point, we really need Displacement to work with all tags of stacked materials.

I'm curious, how does the new bump mapping implementation differ from the old version?

Please note, that I updated my Nvidia driver, and I am no longer getting the error message I posted in Reply #1.

Also curious, does this include the new bump-mapping implementation?

Also, just throwing this out there since you guys have implemented more Hair features... What's the possibility of supporting the C4D Grass shader? I'm pretty sure it's essentially a simplified version of C4D's hair system. And I know you guys just wanna get this renderer released, so not a huge deal. Sorry if you hate my guts lol.

Awesome!! Just messing around super quick. Went to render using Interactive, and this error popped up. I don't have AI Denoiser active either:

===== Error(-18) =====
Internal error in NVIDIA AI Denoiser. Please report this to Corona support with this info:

Error encountered during denoising.
Unknown error (Details: Function "_rtCommandListExecute" caught exception: Failed to launch DLDenoiser post-processing stage. DLDenoiser run method failed with error -29.)

I really like Corona but 2 wishes :
- bloom & glare in multi-pass
- R20 multi-instance for IPR

Bloom and Glare multi-pass is already available :)

Of course! :)

For anyone interested, I wrote up a little tutorial covering the process of going from Substance Painter to Corona for C4D :)
(Feel free to leave any feedback, as I may need to clarify certain things haha)

I have attached my final node tree for anyone wondering how it looks.

I am planning to do a full write-up on the process of creating a simple metal material in Substance Painter and bringing it into Corona for Cinema 4D. I may need some assistance on making sure I get the correct terms haha. I'm definitely no expert when it comes to PBR!

This issue doesn't seem to be occurring on my Mac. Only on my Windows machine.

Hmmm, just restarted my computer and it installed fine this time around. Guess it's not an issue!

It won't even let me install RC4 on my mac, as I am getting the attached error. First time this error has ever occurred, as I have installed every other version. I am an admin on my own computer, so no idea why this would be happening.

I totally agree on having a metal material mode in spec channel.
Also agree an invert checkbox to glossiness.

Both of these would help speed up creation of metal materials for sure.
