Try adding round edges to it. And may be colored gradient outgoing from welding seam.

It already has a round edges map to blend betweent the weld and pipe, I'll crank it up a bit more though. Heat Gradient is next on the agenda as well as picking up the Weld plugin from Joker Martini to play around with.
