So if enyone is interested how my daily routine looks like, here it is.

Finaly something comertial i can feel free to share. Still have some polishing to do (dirtmaps, enviroment ajustments here there little things).

Enviroment inspired by "The third and the seventh".

Sooooo finaly i had some time to finish this up.

Idea was to test out two things. Capability of corona usage for artistic kind of stuff and my capability to copy images from handrawn scetches to 3d.

And here is the result. In total it was about 2 days of work.

By the way final render is only 7 pases with further denoising in photoshop.

- Corona HDRI with simple UI such as vray HDRI map have, easy to control easy to rotate swich dialog between modes.

- Corona light dome (not critical) It could be helpful in situations when for example fimefx should be lit by HDRI (By the way corona is the fastest way to render fume sofar) and it would be very cool to have ability to render it with hdr lithing not a number of fake lights to match the actual lithing.

This is not something big, jus another time chalenge.

I had noly 2 hrs to complete this on from the scratch and luckuly corona have this precious adaptivity + denoise functions.

Le result 3 images 15 min each 15 mins spare time left for photoshop. And who is going to tell now that corona is slower than vray.





PS - forgot to mention, i used only single i7 3930k no aditional nodes.

[Max] Resolved Bugs / 1.4 LTP swich why not to remove

I made some reserach and testing in 1.3 public and 1.4RC2 (I will test RC5 today later).

So it came ou to be that theri is hiding some major bug behignd the skin of the problem.

I used X5550 twin procesor Xeons with 16GB of RAM for the test as a nodes and 3930K with 32 GB of RAM As a lead PC.

And the results are quet dramatic.

The wierdest thing i noticed was the ACC structure building time on the Lead pc 1.3 - 12 SEC 1.4 RC2 - OMG!!!!!!! 5min 32 sec!!!!!!!!!!

UPD - added test for 1.4 RC5

The idea is to make some priorities between those limits.

For example i have 10 images to render in 10 h before deadline. So first i want them to be renderd for 1h each (maximum prority) or 400 pases wich i tested on problematic regions and is ok ofr me (second priority) and the last priority with a noise limit of 3%.


So what i ment - time limit > pases limit > adaptivity limit.

Projekt took 3 days rendered in one night using single 3930k using latest daily build.

While image is being denoised nodes are spaming aditional parts of the image.

And this is what happens in the end.

Most probably nodes must dump all data before the denoising is done.
