motion blur shutter curve

(1/1)

boogotti:
hey guys,
really loving corona,
Just one thing i would really like is more realistic motion blur. which can be easily received.

Great if we can get a shutter curve for camera motion blur.

We carried out some testes to match motion blur from are Arri Alexa footage and couldn't get the motion blur to match accurately. (we matched the speed of the disk and set the shutter speed same as the camera)

we shot test footage like this:

However we did mange to get the motion blur to match accurately with in Arnold using the shutter curve and rolling shutter parameter and would love to see this in corona please.

Would love to map a curve like this to the camerashutter curve:

Arnold camera settings:

The reason why this is needed. Is the default motion blur shutter efficiency is too flat (no delay in shutter efficiency). This gives motion blur a very linear look. With having a ramp for camera shutter curve you can map the camera shutter to say Arri Alexa or any other camera. Making your render sequence match with your live action back plate more realistic.
We have esp noticed when rendering CG cars that the default motion blur not looking too great and lacking the feel of mapped shutter curve.
Please can you add this feature we are really loving corona.
cheers
