[C4D] I need help! / Caustics
« on: 2023-01-25, 11:09:24 »
Hi All,

I work entirely in product/packaging visualisation and when rendering glass I'd like to use caustics. Try as I might though, I just can't get any decent result. Even when striping out everything in the scene and using a single light it's taking hours to get something half decent and even then it's still pretty poor and so heavy in the noise it's just not worth the time spent.

Are there any particular render setting or should be tinkering with to improve upon the standard ones?

Any help of advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / Layered Material
« on: 2022-10-11, 15:41:09 »
Hi,

When copying and pasting an object with a Layered Material applied to it from one scene to another, Corona breaks all links to said material.

Also, if the materials for particular object are organised into tabs(Layers) in the the material manager (Bottle Mat, Jar Mat etc), when pasted into a new scene only the Layered Material will remember where it should be, all of the links will be placed into the 'No Layer' tab instead. Meaning any organising you've done of your materials in one scene will need to be manually replicated when copying a model to a new scene.

I'm using C4D R26.107 and Corona 8 (Hotfix 1).

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / Layer Shader in Bump
« on: 2021-04-17, 12:37:13 »
Hi,

Can I request the ability to use the layer shader in the bump channel, please.

It work fine in the colour channel but when taking in into bump channel, it renders it inactive.

Cheers

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / C4D Layer Shader in Bump channel
« on: 2020-08-30, 23:50:34 »
When placing noise in the bump channel, I very often mix noise types using C4D layer shader but in Corona it doesn't work...

If this could be rectified it would be amazing!!

[C4D] I need help! / Whites in bitmaps
« on: 2020-05-08, 23:48:52 »
Hi All,

So I understand that if i’m creating a white label I shouldn’t go above 80%(ish). This is fine when using the sliders but what if I’m plugging a bitmap into the diffuse channel and the bitmap I’m using has pure white elements? What’s the best approach to avoid the design blowing out or over exposing?

Any help or advise would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers
D
