Please see this:

AFAIK, Corona using Wide RGB color space (Gamut). Can Corona implement to change the color management, like filmic log or bt709 or etc ? It's very useful feature!

Corona is using 'WideRGB' only as internal color space for rendering, not for output. Corona isn't sadly color-managed, post-process of framebuffer happens in sRGB color space only and that is also the only way to get 1:1 output into post-process applications (PS,AE,Nuke,etc...) by applying sRGB space.

I've requested it 20 times :- ). Good to see another request. Working with non-managed application is very painful if you have high-end monitor with wider gamut (forcing you to clamp down your own gamut).

Just be careful with that "secret ingredient" video. It has already caused a lot of confusion:

for now you can also install Blender & use Corona standalone with it
here's the bridge (exporter): https://bitbucket.org/coronablender/render_corona

Christ, I didn't even notice OP posted that stupid article.

I really have strong pet-pevie when color-space is used as blank name for everything from gamma-space correction to Tonemapping.
That whole Blender implementation is just wrong. By "sRGB" they simply mean linear with 2.2 gamma without any further adjustment, i.e, zero tonemapping or highlight compression. That's nothing to do with color-management at all.

This Blender dude I swear...

My bad!
Thanks for the heads up!

It's just for the illustration in 3ds max...

Just see it now! Still, for me it's an useful feature to implement in Corona :)

OK, I will close this down, as the non-sRGB rendering was already requested elsewhere.

As far as its implementation, it should not be that hard, just some lowlevel magic. Problem is of course 3ds Max. Now I realized that we might try doing this in standalone and/or CIE ;). We will see
Rendering is magic. How to get minidumps for crashed/frozen 3ds Max | Sorry for short replies, brief responses = more time to develop Corona ;)

Thanks for the good news Ondra :)
Please close this thread if there's another one...
