Thank you! I will give that a go!

Hello
I do retail displays. My clients are getting more and more fussy. A recent issue I've come across is the fine tones (especially skin) in some of my visuals is losing colour and getting bleached out. I've tried a few things and I'm hoping someone who knows more about materials (I didn't actually 'learn' Corona - I just jumped right in) can help? If I darken the scene to stop the bleaching it makes all my white things go grey, and it still loses some of the saturation in the image. I've attached an actual 3D file and a render next to the supplied artwork so you can see the difference I'm getting. Any advice welcomed!

PS - This promotion is old so there's no NDA issues here.
PPS - You will need to load in a HDRI as mine is too big. It's called "Underground Studio.hdr" in case anyone else has it.. I can send it to someone if needed.

Holy moly! I didn't even see that bend function in the decal options!
You hero! thanks

Wondering if anyone can help me. I've always had trouble with this and I'm sure there's a way to sort this easily.

I have to model the lid of a spray. The lid has an embossed logo. Goes in about 1mm. With a decal it'd be no problem, I'd make a displacement material then map it to the decal and have it only affect the displacement. BUT I can't wrap a decal onto a cylinder - can I?

So, I'm assuming I have to go with a Corona material.
My displacement map is greyscale, goes from black to white.
When I map it onto the material I do it this way.
I duplicate the material, add a displacement channel, then drop the new material onto the model on top of the 'base' material. Because all other elements are identical, it's seamless. Well, it should be, but there's a square line around the edge of where the material is. I've checked the black and it's 100%.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this as I've fiddled around a fair bit and it's still slightly visible whatever I do.

I'm sure there's an easy way of doing this but I don't have time to search all over the place and be testing so I thought I'd ask the experts!

Thanks in advance

Image below to show the kind of thing I need to acheive.

Hi all. I've gone through the painstaking effort of creating an Amazon AWS render node. However, upon remotely accessing the node I'm finding it hard to install the software (C4D to start with, not tried to get Corona on yet).
I was just wondering what the licencing thing would be? Perhaps I just install the software as a team render node?
Can anyone advise? I might have to upgrade my licence, yes?

Hi all. Wondering if anyone has any benchmark scores for the base Apple M4 which at the moment is the 10-Core CPU / 10-Core GPU / 16Gb Ram?
Just seen I can get one for £533, was considering using it as a render node. But only if it's worthwhile...

Followed the instructions on uninstalling it, then reinstalled it and it seems to be fine. Cheers tech support!

I think I've done that successfully.  :)

No problem. Do I have to do this within the program or on this site? Not raised a ticket before....!

Hello. I've started getting this error message as of a couple of days ago when trying to open the cosmos browser.
Running a Mac Studio M1 Ultra with Cinema 4D 2024.4.1 and Corona 12
Any ideas?

Also, my cinema 4D crashes at least 8 times a day when loading images into my project asset inspector. I've noticed that the HDRI image I have loaded into the Corona Sky object for illumination needs to be reloaded in the actual object manager or it'll crash pretty much every single time. Also, if I've re-linked everything using the project asset manager and press render then try and save then close quickly afterwards about 25% of the time it'll crash cinema 4D too. This, as you can imagine, is frustrating beyond belief and expensive for my company's efficiency. Is this a common thing? If so, is there anything I can do to solve it?

@beanz @bnji

Any ideas on this one?

So, here's a screen grab of it actually happening.
Can anyone shed any light on how I can stop this? It's happening maybe 20 times a day and I've really got to be on guard for it or it causes me massive amounts of delay...

Well, from doing a bit of research I've found that naming each material properly massively reduces the occurrence of this happening. Might help you?
The problem with this current job is there were 10 things using slight variants of the same thing so I copied and pasted it into each of them BUT because there is a clear acrylic block on top of it I couldn't see on the preview that it'd wiped my materials and just sent them all to render.
Came back later and they're all wrong. I'd have checked in the VFB but it's not something that should happen so it caught off off-guard.
Ouch.

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Here's an example of what happens.
I've tried copying this item several times and every time I paste it into my next document the mapping for the ingredients just gets replaced by a plain yellow the same as used elsewhere.
Happens every single time and is now costing me LOTS of time every day. It's beginning to make this program unusable. I can't show more because of NDA's but you should be able to see what's happening...

If you perhaps give me a direct email I can send you the actual file but I can't put it onto a public forum...
