Gaussian splatting support like in Vray would be very welcome. as Corona is used widely for archviz, GS would be a helpfull addition

i see we dont have any new betas/daily versions on v13 or v12 service packs.

are they planned to come back, or is there a rough schedule on next versions/features planned?

i am amazed nobody mentions it here yet. So i start- Happy 10th Birthday Corona Render!

i know we often report bugs and problems or wishes here, but i can say, i can't be happier for this great render engine - glad Corona is here, - and i hope continies to be great for the next 10y. i enjoy using it daily, keep up the good work :)

i have this since several versions, soemtimes the corona VFB doesnt open anymore regardless  what i do, only restartingc4d solves it.

it doesnt happen vers often but here and there and is a bit anyoing withhaveing to close all scenes and reopen them to continue to work. hope this can be fixed. i have also vray 6 or 7 installed

Hi guys

as the titel says, absolute reproducable here in my files:

when i have a bigger scene(real world size) and i have one or more corona sky objects with hdri images in the texture slot loaded, c4d freezes if i do a save with asstes or use the c4d project asset inspector and change paths to absolute or reverse from absolute to relative(localize), if i eclude the sky from any of this operations in the inspector all works ok

[C4D] General Discussion / Envision support

Hi Guys,

i test the beta from Envision which might be pretty interesting. it stated corona 12.1 supports it, but when i export a scene i get several instance errors and missing geometry therefore in the exported render. windows etc missing (c4dinstances and cloners)

i am aware it is a beta but want to report it right away.
the same vrscene file opens ok in vantage.
but it has the same missing elements whebn i open the vrscne in the vrscene loader in vray c4d.

so it seems the vrscene from corona is yet ok with vantage but not with Envision(or vray), just to report.

also i see that many materials from corona exported cannot be edited in Envision (same work, some not, i haven yte found the system behind)
some materials also export wrong from corona to vantage as well as to Envision, in special if a texture slot uses the mix slider value other than 100% (which we use all time)

i hope this helps the developer to ensure a perfect Envision supportand imrpoved Vantage support

one Questions, the point "export and render" as in max isnt yet available right?
(i tried to render an animation fromc4d corona to Vantage)

in max beta it is there, will it come to v13 c4d too? as even live link works now, i hoped this might be possible to add too:)?

when we have a bitmap in a color correction shader, in like the base color channel often when i set the texture multiplier, the IPR render turns into plain yellow. i can only refresh it to get ok again in changing a value inside the color correction.

it seems it looses somehow the connection to the color correction shader when the texture multiplier slider is used
(which we need all the time, we often set values less than 100% to mix a bitmap over a color, which is a great feature)

hope this can be fixed for v13 release, the problem was also in v12, maybe even 11 by the way

as titile says,
in 13 daily i often see that the full ipr refreshes, even if i only change a tonemapping operator in vfb,  like white balance, exposure, acis or lut settings etc.

hop that can be fixed for release

[C4D] Daily Builds / 100% cpu in IPR usage in daily?

for some reason i get often 100% cpu usage in IPR render, even though i set the IPR to not use all threads.

any idea?
this is new for me, i use latest v13 daily

this means i can hardly edit any while IPR is running

woudl an exported vrscene from corona render work in the chaos cloud?

or are the formats too different from v-ray?

[C4D] I need help! / export to vantage crashes all time

i have a scene which i wanted to render in vantage, but i cannot export it, the direct open in vantage command as well as the corona vrscene export crash c4d at around 75 % of the export.

any idea on what i can look? i use the latest v13 daily from yesterday.
are there any known crash points?

the scene has a lot of geom but nothing vantage should not be able to use (vray export seems normally ok on such big scenes)

i tried to download the latest v13 daily beta, but i cannot get it to download, any other is successful?

as i get crashes in Vantange export i hoped the daily woudl solve that,
can someone fromthe corona team check why the download not works? i tried from 2 different pcs, inrwenet here works ok so that cannot be the issue

if i change a path of an HDRI  in a light/sky via the c4d "project asset inspector", c4d freezes for ever.
like to set the path from local to global or reverse.

this is in a scene with 1 hdri in several sky objects, but i see it also in a simpler file

i hope you can fix that, is quite annoying. we use the inspector a lot to manage the asset textures from imported assets
