yes the work around was to disable "use real world size" option in every texmap in the material applied to the decal object and set the utiling and vtiling to 1
now it will appear correctly when projected on an object with real world size material

2
in both attached images the wall has a real world size material and if I copied that wall material, changed the color
and applied it to the decal object the result will be wrong as shown in the first image.
the work around was to convert the copied material to a normal material before applying it to the decal object which doesn't make scenes! also I can't simply apply a UVW Map modifier the decal object.
as I remember that was not the case before the last decal update.

sorry for my bad English

will corona proxy gives me better performance or render time advantages than x-ref object ?

you do not need script for that! just use clone and align tool in 3dsmax

I have a question about importing PBR textures from Substance Designer or in general
Substance Designer export textures like this

basecolor -> sRgb
roughness -> raw

at first the material did not look like the one in Substance Designer
to make the material looks exactly like in Substance Designer
I have to load the roughness bitmap with override Gamma = 1.0

now I'm a little bit confused! should I load every bitmap that will be used as roughness or bump with override Gamma = 1.0 in general?
or this is only for bitmaps saved with Substance Designer as raw?
and how could I know if a roughness bitmap needs to be Gamma corrected or can be loaded normally

hi would you update this to work with corona ACES OT

8
I know how to setup a corona normal map but how do I know if I need to flip the green or red or swap them I cant tell visually except when its extremely wrong.
any tip?

9
you are right. I think it was an IOR problem I should set it to 1

10
I think it is because ior in physical material is in the base layer and it will affect the color

while I'm using the same gamma input!
any explanation?

how to adjust the color mapping in v-ray to render exactly like corona?
I have tried to match the color as possible but when I'm using the same LUT file
in both corona and v-ray frame buffer they looks different.
any help?

can I improve the render quality of the material in the material editor slot?
