[C4D] Daily Builds / Re: shader curvature
« on: 2022-07-25, 13:08:35 »
thank you, Cinemike!!
I'm mainly searching hpow to create a bump "along" the curvature-colorizer effect... as it would be in real world, if for example the red paint was used on the edges... On the doc jpoined, it's folllowing the green line, to show what I mean...

thank you, Sebastian!
well, in fact there is nothing fanced or worked about the light, as it is a duo backplate-hdri, wich give background and lighting; it's funny, and quickly done!

hello! the curvature shader is a perfect tool, to get complicated textures very quickly and easily! hair in c4d, organic modelling in zbrush., backplate in polyhaven... render c8, in c4d...

Hello! I redid in 3d one of my old illustrations, from the time (Jurassic) of oil painting... Zbrush and rhino modeling, rendering, of course, corona8 in c4d...

thank you for your answers!
in fact, something in the file was corrupting my render,  with the character; I rebuilt the scene, and it worked...

Hello!! the "curvature" shader is an excellent tool, to simulate the worn edges of a mettalic object... really good!
however, I can't figure out how to use it in the bump, to simulate the small thickness that there would be in reality, on these "worn" areas... thanks for your ideas!

thank you for searching!!! but... I'm not too sure of the result: I mean, there is always the ghost plane; If I size it to cover all the ground, the frontiers desappear, but it's enlighting the part covered... I don't und'erstand, it was working fine, in precedent versions...?

ok, I try; I change the character, wich was very heavy in poly, by a box, but the problem is the same, so maybe you can see where I'm wrong!

« on: 2022-07-07, 19:18:51 »
hello! i have a red plate, very reflective, but as it is a plate, it has no readable reflections; putting a lamp, it reflects, but it's a bit "poor"...; is there a way to introduce an image in the shader, only to create a more complex reflection? i tried in the ior channel, but it doesn't give anything... thanks for your suggestions!!!

thank you!!! yes, indeed it was an "invisible" layer... I sometimes (often) get lost in very simple things!!!

« on: 2022-06-23, 18:43:41 »
hello! in importing materials, it has probably been deposited a hdr, or an environment, (uffizi etc), which affects the rendering, in the reflections, by being nowhere... where is it, and how to remove it???

« on: 2022-06-22, 15:00:31 »
hello!!! I need to render a glass ball, with nice reflections (abstract) on the sides... Does anyone have any advice? Do you need a thickness to the glass, etc...? Thanks for your opinion!
