It would have been very useful to have a blur feature the same way you have with bitmaps inside the color correction node so you can blur everything you add to the node.

why don't you want to use the blur option that is present in the Bitmap Coordinates section?

Hi, because a lot of times, at least I do, combine bitmaps mixed generated maps like Corona round edges, Corona distance, noise, and and other maps to to various things and then use the maps for various stuff, like in corona scatter, opacity etc etc... And some times it would be good to control the blurryness for transitions etc etc.

You won't be able to access the blur in bitmaps for anything else than imported bitmaps. Or am I missing some other place you mean where I can do this?

The feature request makes sense.
I have tried multiple ways to have on texture input but different nodes of it with different filter values (so the texture is changed once and everything follows) and I could not find a decent way to do it, not with compound nodes nor with mix/composite.

Currently, the best way to do it is to have the same texture node duplicated and change the value in the new one. This of course comes with the downside that in case of texture change both nodes should be updated. But this is still the better solution than using other nodes.

I’m glad you see the request making sense. If the color correction had a blur feature you can basically throw any map (bitmap, composite or a mix of many) into it and control the blur.
