Hello,

I have a new computer with windows 11, Max 2023.2 and Corona 9.
When starting Max, it stops while loading plugins for several seconds at ChaosScatterMax2023.dlt and CoronaMax2023.dlr.
Is this normal?
It's very annoying.
Thanks.
P.S.: I don't have administrative rights for this computer.

I figured out why.
The license files in  windows startup was set to disabled. Enabling them solved the problem.

What exactly do you mean by "license files in windows startup"?

There are two files that start with windows that belong to the Corona installation. "chaos license server supervisor" and "chaos unified login supervisor".
Those were disabled, probably by the IT guy, and was making Max startup much slower. Enabling them solves the issue.

That makes sense, thanks for explaining.
I would definitely advise contacting our support team in such cases - https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
We have a dedicated technical support team and I am sure they would recognize these symptoms immediately.

Can you explain this more? It may be useful for others with slow startups.

I think this happens due to a license check during startup, so if the license server isn't active or no license can be found then it will take some more time as it searches for a license.
