News / Re: Pricing and release date announced
« on: 2015-02-18, 15:18:05 »
I may be wrong, but i don't think that A7.2 will automatically extend after 02.28
Perhaps A7.3 will show up or miraculously Corona v1.0 will be released in 10 days :]

Edit: confirmed

it is simple, either we will make 1.0 in time, or we will extend A7.2

For me anything beyond 1 is too strong anyways so having it in a 0-100 range would be easier to type (and see) than 0.009 for example. The question is if you could go beyond 100, which is probably needed in some cases. If not, keeping it in 0-1 range makes sense indeed.
One can always increase bump intensity in texmap's output rollout if needed.

Yes, it's 02-15 build.
Ok, will test after fix will be available.

I noticed that there's a quite big difference in direct lighting with different GI/AA and LSM samples. It is hapening when light source is HDRI.
With CoronaLights or CoronaSky, differnce is almost non existing.

p.s. HDRI in use was 3Kx1,5K with filtering off.

and talking about bokeh...a non-ideal Gaussian blur bokeh could add realism to a render??  ...see fig1.2 and 3 from ken rockwell's blog about the subject

http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/bokeh.htm

I have lots of lenses, most of them old manual lenses, like the 58mm f.2 m42 mount from zenit ....it gives a "swirly bokeh"...and that's why it famous ..
It is already requested: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,4980.0.html :]

Also, why your pentagons in foreground are rotated differently than in background? Did you add DOF in post?
Ok, that's interesting. I did a little test and found that bokeh shapes gets flipped before focal point and renders normal beyond FP. Initially i thought that it is a bug, because i've never seen such thing in photographs. But then decided to do little experiment with real lens and custom aperture and found that IT IS TRUE! Wow, never though that Corona can teach me something about photography! I'm a little shocked :]

Looks more like a bookstore than a library. Nevertheless, nice viz.

I think you misunderstood something. This topic is about Corona standalone not about 3ds max's plugin. I'm pretty sure IR will be in Corona v1.0.

7690
I wouldn't mind if Corona could read my mail ;]

Just a thought: if there were Min distance spinner in CoronaAO map, could it help in such situations?

7693
I think CoronaMultiMap could benefit from Seed spinner in Instance mode.

Oh, i see. Now i was able to reproduce it with MR and Vray demo too. But still, it looks like Corona is somehow more sensitive to these artefacts.

Curious if there's a medicine for this. I tried to manually turn those edges, but looks like it lost job - if one face gets better, other turns worse. Automatic retriangulate didn't work neither.
