Thanks a bunch! I have a script which turns off paging in new scenes, but it don't help in old scenes. Now, combined with your script, i finally can feel safe :]

Edit: i think that such script must be bundled with Corona installation. Not everyone knows about bitmap paging and damage it causes.

I've discovered that when bitmap paging is on, texture filtering has huge impact on performance. Rays/s varies drastically when filtering is on or off, when blur is set to 1,0 0,1 or 0,01, when distance from camera to object changes. It's just impossible to find optimal combination. Luckily, everything is back to normal once bitmap paging is turned off.

Not posting this as a bug, since it is strongly recomended to turn off paging anyway. Just want to remind to watch for it, as it can be pure evil.

p.s. is it possible to make Corona to check for bitmap paging and to show unobtrusive warning in VFB when paging is on?

Oh yeah, that's really more viable solution than three simple spinners in multimap... not. I'm affraid imagine how my slate editor would look if i'd need randomize ten maps with your method.

Corona MultiMap needs some advanced texmap variation controls. Ability to randomize HSV like in MultiTexture map, would be awesome.

There is shadow. But if you want it to be more distinct, make sure that yor object don't touch ground very firmly. Either lift them a notch, or give a small chamfer to outer edges of those boxes.

P.S: I rendered the scene with a different HDRI which is quite high res (200mb in size) but still im not getting any contact shadows! :(

File size of HDRI tells almost nothing about its quality.

Something is wrong with your image, there's almost no contact shadow. Check your material settings and or HDRI quality.
Render settings are also wrong. If i'm right, there's no enclosed enviroment in your scene. In that case you don't need such high GI samples. Set GI vs. AA to 8 and LSM to 4.

Tried to create snow material, but not very successfully. What i found however, that if let render only a few passes, remaining noise and fireflies can make snow to look more convincing.

Will try to play with snow material more, but if anyone has some valuable tips, my ears are open.

Tried to create snow material today and found that legacy mode gives much superior results in that case. What a shame, i really like GGX BRDF and wouldn't want to revert even for single material :] Looking forward to what solution dev team will offer.

Hey, since CoronaRaySwitch texmap doesn't has hes own texture coordinates and you didn't assigned any map to refract and direct slots, you should expect unexpected results when assign it as enviroment :] But this is just my guess. It could be a bug as well.
