Chaos Corona for Blender / wireframe render
« on: 2017-06-09, 16:55:40 »
is it possible to render a quad wireframe in corona? Whatever I do, I always seem to get a triangulated wireframe.

Chaos Corona for Blender / rounded edge + bump map
« on: 2017-06-09, 16:36:00 »
Hi, if I understand it correctly, the rounded edge shader goes into the bump slot of the material node. What's the correct way to go about rounding off edges of a material, that also has to have a bump map. How does one combine these maps properly?
Thanks in advance.

Chaos Corona for Blender / revert to older exporter version
« on: 2017-06-09, 10:16:40 »
Hi, while I now know it was a stupid move, I deleted all traces of the older exporter version before running the newest version for the first time, but this update has broken a few things for me. Is there a way to get hold of an older version of the exporter?
Thanks in advance.

Chaos Corona for Blender / displacement
« on: 2017-05-08, 14:28:31 »
Hi, I'm trying to get displacement to work, but I get the feeling I'm only getting bump. Is there another slot than the bump input to stick the texture node in to affect displacement? The Min, Max and Water Level settings don't seem to have any effect on the rendering. Or is there something else I'm missing?

Chaos Corona for Blender / render passes
« on: 2017-04-26, 16:16:35 »
I've been missing object and material ID passes for post-production, as well as GI, Direct Light, Reflection and Refraction passes for render settings diagnostics. From what I understand, this is not a limitation of the exporter, but rather a limitation of the standalone version of Corona. Would it be possible to include these features in the next release? Is a new standalone release planned for the foreseeable future?

Thanks in advance.

Chaos Corona for Blender / shading normals
« on: 2017-04-12, 18:48:29 »
Hi,

not sure yet if it could be a bug, but I'm running into some trouble with shading normals.
In Blender, I either set my model's shading to Smooth or to Flat, but the smooth shading in corona doesn't seem to take into account the auto-smooth setting of the geometry, so unless I model some supporting edges around all hard edges of my model, I get smoothing across all the edges of my model, regardless of their angle.

Did anyone else run into this? Is there some setting I might be missing?

Chaos Corona for Blender / documentation
« on: 2017-03-30, 13:52:01 »
Hi,

I came across some interestingly sounding nodes the other day, the Round edge for example, but couldn't figure out where to stick the output from the node. Are these features documented, or maybe even some examples of using them available?

Thanks in advance.

Chaos Corona for Blender / Lightmix
« on: 2017-03-24, 17:46:19 »
Does lightmix currenly work?
I've added 2 meshlights to my scene, each one has a different light group. When I start the render, both lightmix groups appear in the lightmix panel, both light groups and a lightmix render output appear in the render outputs dropdown menu. But both lightgroup outputs remain black, the sliders and color pickers in the lightmix menu have no eefect on the lights, the Rest(unassigned) slider controlls both lights though.

Am I missing some step, that needs to be done to make this work?
Thanks in advance.

Chaos Corona for Blender / UVs in Corona
« on: 2017-03-20, 12:58:34 »
Hi, new day, new problem...
I'm having trouble with UVs. What I did was, I used blender's Displace deformer and a texture  with a subdivided mesh to get displacement, just to get some smaller detail, I tried applying a Bump map to the corresponding Corona Material, but the two textures aren't lining up at all.
The Corona texture seems to be rotated by 90 degrees and offset by around -45cm in the Y direction (but not exactly) and by a small amount in the X direction as well. Other textures seem to map very strangely to their coordinates as well.
Is there a trick to this?

Thanks in advance

Chaos Corona for Blender / [solved]Fatal error
« on: 2017-03-17, 16:08:14 »
When trying to render one scene, I get the following message after the export has been finished and the Frame buffer is about to start:

ERROR: Fatal error in mtl-XML file: 'Scene.mtl' : Attempting to redefine material: default

the material called 'default' is just a default corona material with the diffuse color changed to around 80% grey. The material is applied to most objects in the scene
Any ideas where to start looking for a solution to this error?
thanks in advance

Hi,

I've been giving Corona a spin the past day or two and I can't seem to get render passes to work. I can see them in the drop-down menu of the Frame Buffer and they get displayed  there, but is there a way to get them back to Blender for compositing? I also can't find a "Save passes as images" option. Also, how do you get a Black and White mask for your Material and Object IDs?

Thanks a lot in advance.
