Hello, I have a problem making an animation with sunlight on the reflections of chrome materials on the front of the vehicle because if I leave the "visible in reflection" and "visible in refractions" properties activated in CORONA SUN it generates small random flashes in each frame and I don't know how to make these flashes not appear.

If I deselect these options the animation is very flat when removing the reflections from the chrome surfaces.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm uploading some example images and a short video where you can better see what's happening.

Thanks.

(excuse my English, I used a translator)

Thank you very much¡¡¡! ^_^

I have done a little test and it seems that the fireflies no longer appear :-)

When I have the complete video rendered I will confirm the result.

Regards.

Ha, I was going to comment on your dilemma, then realized the link pointed to my post a while back. Too funny. In addition to using the Clamping feature, I also had some IOR settings set to astronomical numbers. That was based on an old tutorial I followed. Not sure if this is mentioned in my old thread or not. You have to be careful with the Clamp setting though. You can remove too much of the highlights if you're not careful.

I also remember something about using an HDR vs. just a Sun and Sky object. Good luck.

Thanks, the tip from your post helped me solve the fireflies problem.

I'm uploading an animation clip with the final result.

Regards.
