hello, im trying to write a few tools to speed up/facilitate a few things in our workflow but i can't find any documentation referencing /descripting methods available to maxscript concerning corona (access to render elements, and so on)
Any information would be welcome

We are a small architectural visualization studio currently utilizing Corona as our primary rendering software. As we continue to explore efficiency and optimal resource allocation, we are contemplating whether there might be more streamlined solutions available compared to our current practice.

The process of purchasing, renewing, and managing individual licenses can be quite cumbersome. We are exploring the possibility of acquiring license "packs," for example, a 30-license pack, to simplify the administrative process. Is such an option available?

Additionally, we are interested in knowing if there are any special pricing options or discounts available when procuring a certain number of seats. This would aid us in budgeting and financial planning effectively.

We appreciate your attention to these inquiries and look forward to hearing back from you

Mike

Hi,
So i created an AMI from a deadline empty windows template where i installed max and corona 8 .
I set up the license server by clicking "open license server" in the system tab and logging into my online account (username psswd)
saved AMI after .

Now the spot instances don't find the license when i start them. Looks like the setting is lost .

Any idea how i could do to make them remember the license settings ?

Thanks

It looks like when i try to convert a substance 2 node to corona via the substance plugin, it stills gives me a legacy mat.

How can i use the new physical mat with roughness and all with the substance plugin ?
Thanks

Hi everyone.
I'm part of a archviz studio and we have to replace the machines cause its a terrible mess . We have to buy 10-15 machines for freelances to be comfortable working.
Our budget is around 2.5-3k € per machine (we already have screens/mouses/keyboards)
We work with 3ds max and corona mainly.
I'm looking for a good build in those prices, and even if i'm quite interested in hardware related questions, i know the "top notch"hardware but i'm incapable of fitting "good enough" hardware with a given "low" price. If you have any idea where i could look to find "up to date" nice builds that would be very cool.(I browsed the forum and it looks like there are some available configurations but they are 1-2 years old...)
We are amd for the moment and we want to stay this way.
128 ram is a must

Hardware / Looking for advice on 2990wx workstation build
« on: 2018-11-14, 22:38:05 »
Last time I posted that i was trying to build a 4k workstation with 2990wx and 128Gb for corona renders mostly.

Obviously I am for the moment beyond 4k and id like to minimize the price and optimize if possible.  But the main subject is not doing a big beginner mistake in picking parts, since I havent built a workstation for a veryyyyy long time.
If you could just have an look at my temporary build and thell me what you think that would be nice.

here is the link to the build :

Thank you

Hi,

Hi, I haven't built a workstation for quite a few years now (8-9 i think) and things seem to have changed quite a lot.
I recently moved from vray to corona, and I need to build a workstation (for working with 3ds max and rendering with corona mainly),  with ~4k€ budget .
The only imperative is 128 GB RAM, (and of course a correct graphic card for working on 3ds max mainly).
I am looking for advices on parts to go in this build.

I started to look at xeons builds, but they seem really expensive. so i started to llok at I9 and amd.
Apparently threadrippers are the cpus to go for if i read the forum. So i guess a 2950/2970/2990 is what i have to go for (?)

I'm a bit lost when I browse the forum and stumble on so many things I dont know like "QVL b die samsung" "2933" "noctua" "dual\quad channel" . And I'm also totally lost about power supply, case, HDD (SSD, rpm,...).
5-6To hdd sounds enough(500Go SSD and rest normal ?, or are there certain other things to respect in that regard ?)
About the motherboard,I read a lot of asus prime, and others seem to prefer msi meg... I strictly have no idea why, so I dont think I m able to make an informed choice.
My main fear is to opt for parts not meant or ideal for working together in the same build.

Any advice would be welcome. If you know a company who could advise me on precise components, even if i have to pay a fee, I m also happy.

thank you.
