The problem was fixed when I stopped rendering other passes with z-depth... kind of a weird fix.

I am attempting to render a z-depth pass... as I am watching the pass render I can see the detail come in, but it blacks out at the end... see attached.


The image saved to disk as the zdepth pass is that mostly final black frame with the forground objects only...

Can anyone help me fix this?

that does fix the issue.  However there are several problems with this change.

1. It hides a commonly used checkbox behind an unintuitive series of clicks.
2. The save setting is not available in the camera tag.
3. It is possible to add two stacks of the 'photographic exposure' checkbox that apparently conflict with each other.
4. the right click help function common throughout C4D is not respected. Right click help does not provide documentation on the functionality or changes to this feature.

The Camera settings are not affecting the exposure of the image. in May 23 daily Build.
