I have a technical question about archive textures:
where do you store the textures ? (I have only one workstation).
I have heard about NAS and I don't know if I should buy one; I have all the textures saved on an external hard disk;
but I have not understood if this causes slow down my rendering times or just the loading of the scene.

Hi, thanks for the support,
now it works! I didn't think of a surface problem;
I didn't understand why at a resolution of 1500x1500 it works and 4000x4000 it doesn't; but now I've solved it

Hi, i'm working on this scene and i have a big problem for the delivery.
In interactive render and with final resolution 1500x1500 i have no errors.
with the rendering in final resolution 4000x4000 i have all the errors that i marked.
i checked:
- the problems are not lights that illuminate
- i created a new scene from scratch and i always have the same error.
i made many images of this type (always with the same setup but this is the first time it happens to me).

I tried this method in:  system settings, IR, of threads override = -4
As per photo, is it correct?
I don't understand what it's for, but with the same scene I can manage VFB and material editor much better; the lags have decreased

Hi,
I have installed V.12 update 1.
I have a slowdown with lag with VFB interactive render.
Is it just my problem?
When VFB is open, I have a strong lag with the region render, when I turn lights on and off with lightmix and also when modifying materials.
The scene is very small (19 mb) and with version 12 everything was faster.

Hi Tom thanks for the info, that's good news.
For us small studios it's always hard to compete between customer requests and licensing costs, and evaluating future developments is always a good thing.
It would be interesting how many corona users use corona for videos or are moving to vantage.
I think I'll do some testing by purchasing the monthly version.

Hi, I have a question, as a single professional archviz user.
I think the future is always static visualizations but also many professional videos and virtual tours.
I don't like unreal engine (especially the look in the interiors and the gamer interface); so I would use vantage with corona and not only corona for videos.
I think opinions are very different about this

I have two questions:
1- is the integration of corona planned in chaos cloud rendering? without using external render farms?
2- Vantage costs €598.80; is there a future plan for corona (ultra premium) that also includes vantage without buying it extra?
3- is it possible to plan a virtual tour module without external software like vray7/chaos cloud has?

Hi, one/two days ago, I had new materials (a lot) as in the attached image (from cosmos official website);
now I made a new update and the materials have disappeared

Anyone have the same problem?

Hi;
I read the very interesting comments.

I am also very disappointed with the corona development and the price increase, but:

1- first I used octane render (gpu) and then vray (gpu); I switched to Corona for two reasons:
stability guaranteed by the CPU, lower cost (GPU makes sense if you always buy the latest GPU model every year, at most two and it is very expensive:
to have a serious workflow you need at least two GPUs ); it makes no sense to ask for corona gpu.

2- in vay frame buffer there is the direct cryptomatte option; I don't understand why it isn't integrated into corona render.
It is a very useful solution for us users and I hope it will be developed.

corona 11 must be a really very important upgrade compared to corona 10 (my opinion).

Exactly;
Corona 11 can be called 10.3 / .4/.6...
there is no information about AI inside corona and other software like d5 are implementing.
Corona is always superior to realtime engines for static images, but as a user, I don't see the correlation between price increase and real updates provided
(video production, calculation speed, integration with vantage if possible);
and Corona Academy has no new monthly updates.

As a user I prefer fewer versions (corona 11,12) but with real and serious updates (for me corona 11 was the most disappointing version of recent years),
and more updates (11.2,11.3...)
For example vray is at version 6, corona is at version 11??
