Hi. I need to optimize my scene.
What are your suggestions??

the scene has many high-quality trees with animation with Maxtree and GrowFX

if I turn off all foliage reflections, is that better for render time or not?

for a perfect render without flicker what is your suggestion? UHD in animation mode or path tracing?

my noise level for 4k render is "4". but render time is over 12 hours. so for FullHD Animtion noise "5", is ok?

we want to create 4 seasons spring summer autumn and winter with snow

we use Houdini for snow Effects, tyflow for rain, and Anima Axyz 4d human for characters

Well, there are various ways to cut down render times at the cost of realism. Here are some ideas:

- Use a denoiser (I would suggest the Intel AI denoiser as it's fast and provides good quality)

Performance tab:
- Lower Max Sample Intensity from the default 20 to 10-5, but probably not lower
- Lower Max Ray Depth from the default 25 to about 10, but probably not lower

System tab:
- You can enable highlight clamping (set it higher than 0, probably around 1-2) but keep in mind that this will destroy the high dynamic range in your frames in case you are planning to save into a 32-bit format and do some post adjustments.

Camera tab:
- Enable sharpening+blurring - this will slightly blur the noise and make the frames a bit more "photo-like"

If there are no moving objects or lights, only the camera, I would use the UHD Cache and calculate it only once, then reuse for all frames - see: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000515648

many thanks. I am always using denoise in High quality. because my CPU is 3950
but Foxrenderfarm works with Intel and I can use AI Intel.

about Highlight we work on 8bit ( out save format is TGA ) . the corona post pro is so strong and we don't use another composite app for post pro.

about sharpness and blur, you say we increase the Blur radius? regularly I use sharpness 6 in the frame buffer. It makes a sharp picture for us and we love it.

what about noise level? regularly I use 4 and 4.5 + high-quality denoise.

best regard

Intel AI denoising is working with AMD processors too.
