Patterned Glazing, and God Rays

Good morning.

I have 2 questions.

1. I have been asked to produce glass panels in a large Atrium / Concourse area.
    Any Advise on how to achieve this effect on the glazing?

2. I would like to render god rays coming in the concourse area, is there a tutorial on how to do this with in the render, not photoshoping?
