If anyone is still having this problem with Corona v2, here are two things we would like you to try:
1) Make sure that the noise level limit is set to 0 - just select the value, and type "0" using keyboard. In some cases, 3ds Max may enter a value such as 0,002 in there, and it will be displayed as "0", but the rendering may still stop at some point, when the limit of 0,002 is reached. Once you are 100% sure that the noise limit is set to 0,00:
2) Use pass limit instead of noise limit - does the random stopping also appear when using pass limit?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Right now we unfortunately do not have any new findings regarding this. The issue is either too random, or system-specific.
This thread is sadly empty, while the Corona Scatter improvements are really awesome! Here is the V5 vs V6 video from our release blog post:
I must be weird or something but I hate the fact the materials are in real world units hahah
What we are planning is either having two versions of each material (re-created automatically), or some sort of automated switch from one method to another.
Even before that, we would like to add a visual hint (like an icon) whether a material is using RWS or triplanar mapping.some of the features got even slower like LightMix, used to be so fast now it clicks 1s, click 1s type of work. Can you explain what exactly is going on? I am not aware of any reports of LightMix being slower than before. :(
Yeah, dud. you're weird
real world units - is the best way for archviz
I know this is not a priority, but when can we expect any kind of updates of Material Library soon?
Are there ever going to be an option to add assets? Is there any change It could be more responsive and not "lag" as much?
Since it was created in 2017, we never had any kind of update of the library plugin only a few assets were added.
If all goes well, a content update will be released soon. We cannot promise anything, though.
Adding custom assets, better performance, and some other user-reported feedback - we are aware of those things, and we have them in our internal panning tools. All of that will be addressed.
