New

General
  • Added support for multiple outputs to CoronaMappingRandomizer.
  • Added checkbox that enables/disabled tinting of clouds by sun color. Clouds are also no longer influenced by sun intensity (only by sky intensity).
  • Renamed texmaps from "Corona..." to "C..." in order to have more informative name in SME where only a portion of the name is displayed. MaxScript names are not affected.
  • RoundedEdges texmap has now the legacy button always visible.

Listers
  • Added support for CoronaDisplacementMod and materials with displacement section
  • Added control for "Previz type" property in the "Toggle all" row for Scatter and Proxy listers
  • Added action to delete a modifier, added actions to "Toggle all" row affecting all listed objects.
  • Minor UI enhancements (improved displaying long texts in combo boxes, styling of the column visibility dialog, ...).
  • "Color mode" options in Corona Sun now match the Sun's UI.
  • Removed cell highlighting (it was inconsistent).
  • Prevented assigning same names to multiple items of a same type.
  • Optimized selection of multiple scene items.
  • Camera name in tone mapping dialog now updates when reopening the dialog.
  • Cumulative selection of all objects or instances now creates a single undo entry.
  • Fixed crash when closing lister while "Column Visiblity" dialog is open.
  • Fixed lister dialog blocking 3ds Max hotkeys, removed switching focus by tab, fixed wrong assigning of nodes to lister modifier items when copying multiple instances at once.

Bugfixes
  • Fixed issue where Decal was still affecting the base material (by changing its UVW coordinates) after all checkboxes in "Affect Base" rollout were disabled.
  • Fixed crash with TyFlow when using Mapping operator with Map channel other than 1.
  • Shadows from clouds no longer move with the camera.
  • Fixed issue where maps with Output rollout with Output amount lower than 1 were incorrectly exported to standalone.
  • Decal - Channels that are not affected by the decal now use the original (base) UVW mapping.

  • Improved "alpha mode" tooltips.

Listers
  • Corona Light's "On" parameter now has control in the "Toggle all" row
  • Lights layout is rearranged to 1/ Suns, 2/ Lights, 3/ LightMtls
  • Occlude others" buttons are blue when checked and disabled
  • Added the assigned node name to displacement lister.
  • Fixed crash when deleting objects from a tab that is not visible.

Bugfixes
  • Fixed issue where undoing anything related to 3ds Max lights during IR led to crash.
  • Fixed NANs that could rarely appear when switching to Orthographic camera in IR.

  • The "Settings" map and related controls are only shown for legacy CoronaColorCorrect maps that actually use this feature.
  • Updated links in Corona Converter window.
  • Improved the speed of loading EXR/CXR files in Corona Image Editor by about 50%
  • Improved warning shown when DOF Highlights Solver and AI denoiser are enabled together.
  • Reverted renaming of the Corona maps back to "Corona...".

Listers
  • Fixed issue where lister did not remove nodes assigned to material/modifier after assignment undo or unassignment redo.

Bugfixes
  • Fixed issue where having the camera minimum clipping distance larger than the camera physical size led to rendering artifacts.
  • Fixed issue where error message for missing render elements appears when resuming render from file even though no render elements are missing.
  • Fixed issue where CIE was saving tone mapping settings also to light mix config.
  • Fixed issue where CIE command line reset tone mapping parameters to default when no override value was provided.
  • Fixed issue where histogram in curves tonemapping control was not refreshed during rendering.
  • Fixed window focus issues related to warning box and licensing dialog
  • Fixed slower rendering with buckets than without buckets.
  • Fixed issue where SSS material was black when plugged into CoronaRaySwitchMtl even though it was used for all ray types.
  • Fixed issue where Multimap decal randomization assigned the same color/material to scattered decals.
  • Improved performance of CoronaAO map in some rare cases.
  • Fixed crash that occurred when V-Ray material was connected to any Corona Multiple-Output map.

Scatter
  • Fixed wrong sizing of some buttons in message dialogs on High-DPI displays.

  • Improved warning messages when using physical camera exposure control.

Listers
  • Added undo support.
  • Added tooltips.
  • Category title bar now stands out more.
  • Fixed issue where lister was showing right-click menu also after right click on a parameter editor.

Bugfixes
  • Fixed issue where CIE did not ask to save changes on exit after changing tone mapping settings.
  • Fixed issue where CIE "Reset" button reset tone mapping to default instead of the settings stored in the loaded .CXR.
  • Fixed viewport display of CoronaBitmap with Mirror tiling option.
  • Fixed issue where some translucent Cosmos assets did not have translucent material when imported.
  • Fixed issue where displacement could be sometimes applied on a geometry when exporting it into a proxy file.
  • Fixed not showing Corona logo in several error message boxes.

Scatter
  • Fixed crash when plugging normal bump or falloff map into the edge trimming map while running IR.
  • Improved handling of bad meshes retrieved from 3ds Max. Fixed related crashes.

Final build, released as Corona 10 for 3ds Max:

General
  • Updated Chaos Cosmos service binary shipped with the installer to the latest available version.
  • Denoising error no longer appears when switching to Corona HQ Denoising during rendering, previously selected denoiser is used instead.

Listers
  • Lister - fixed rare crash when deleting objects from tab that is not visible.

Bugfixes
  • Fixed issue where having different Roughness mode or IOR mode in decal material and base object material resulted in wrong roughness/IOR when using just some decal channels.
  • Fixed issue where having displaced base object with at least two different decals would lead to having no displacement for a decal which does not replace displacement.
  • Fixed issue where Corona Tonemapcontrol was not working on Dr Slave.
  • Fixed issue where CoronaColorCorrect could crash when editing curves.
  • Fixed issue where using "Make unique" on light instances would lead to crash.
