Is there a way to create a mask for a window object that would not only include the frame and reflections on the glass, but not the objects being refracted through the glass?

Hi,

Please share some screenshots and try to be more specific - it is not clear what exactly you want to include, and do you want a mask or a render element.

I would say that would be impossible since refraction becomes physical property of the material itself.

If it's for compositing, you can make the objects behind invisible to refraction and they will not render for Pass A, and then another Pass B where you invert everything and only render the background.
