Hi!

It would be amazing to have volume displacement option in Corona.

It is in VRay and Arnold.
Here is amazing tutorial with this function in Arnold:

Corona Volume material dont have this option..or I dont know everything..
I can use for example noise map for volume but its not the same...

I agree that the effect looks amazing, but I am not sure how useful and how popular it would be with our users. It maybe one of those things which would require a lot of effort to implement, but then would not be really used. But we can surely consider it when planning new features.

Also, similar effects should be doable with procedural maps plugged into the absorption slot of a Corona Volume Mtl using the "inside volume" mode.

Did you check Corona fractal? Might be it's all you need ;]

Here is my quick attempt with volumetrics. :)
I used Bercon Noise because it allows a distortion texture.
Note: it renders super slow!

Hi!

Thanks for answers!

I played a lot with Corona fractal and procedural maps on volumetric material.
Some examples in attachement and my Instagram.
I would use this new feature for sure but I understand that it woldnt be so popular feature.

Szymon
