Your subject takes me back to Art school. A sculpture project; Contrast contextual purpose/material. Someone made a soft skateboard.

Do you use any particular software for texturing?

Yes, I'm using Substance Painter, but  I also tried out the new texturing features from Marmoset Toolbag 4.

Texturing update, remade the wheels, and some playing with the lighting, this is not the final presentation, will make a workshop scene for this.
