I can reproduce it in your scene, but not in a new scene (C4D 2025, Corona 12 U1 HF1). For some reason your cube exports as a proxy with 1 material channel. If I do it from scratch, I end up with 3 channels (when using 3 materials).

Could you explain how you are doing this from scratch, step by step? Or maybe record a short video, if I'm not asking for too much.

Tested with Corona 12 Update 1 Hotfix 1 and everything seems to be working fine. I assume there was an issue in some older version and it's fixed now.

Do you mean that adjusting UHD precision made caustics flicker less? The directly generated reflective/refractive caustics are handled by the caustics solver (not UHD Cache). If caustics are so bright that they illuminate other objects, this also isn't handled by the UHD Cache.

If in some cases increasing UHD precision did affect caustics, could share renders/scene? I am just interested what exact scenario it was. :)

I couldn't reproduce it. Corona 12 Update 1 Hotfix 1, C4D 2025.1.2. A material with noise used as displacement renders fine in interactive viewport, Corona's IR, and PV. Could you share this scene with us, or any scene where this can be reproduced?

Hi, it seems that this is not happening in our team. I also don't recall any user reports like this. If you are able to somehow consistently reproduce it, please let us know. We will be also monitoring this in case other users report it.

Which version of Corona and C4D is this?
It's still weird that you are getting different results in the PV and IR. Could you share the scene?

Is the sofa made up of regular geometry or is it some "special" object like a proxy, xref, or similar?

I use Gamma Workflow 2.2 Color Management. Should i use the OCIO-3DMax Default? What´s the difference between then?
There is no right or wrong here. Gamma is na older workflow, but it is also less likely to cause any trouble. You can learn about both modes in the 3ds Max help https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2025/ENU/?guid=GUID-DA8CE2F5-1400-45A9-BFCF-A4A8968175CF

Could you share a screenshot showing the difference? In what format are you saving your renders? In what application are you viewing your renders?

Also, what are your color management settings in 3ds Max? Please check if you have them set as in the attached pictures.

You can try the "by mesh element" randomization, but it's not perfect. Actually, yesterday I personally reported the ability to randomize CPattern tiles with Multimap and Mapping Randomizer. :)

When I use chao scatter, I find that only a single core is responsible for transferring data into the render, and the IR is very slow when I have 30000 model clones.

I wasn't able to reproduce exactly this issue with just a single core working, but I did manage to get slower Scatter parsing in C4D compared to 3ds Max. I will report it to devs and hopefully we can improve it.

I noticed that if chaos scatter is not operated, such as changes in quantity, size and position, ir will be rebuilt and loaded with chaos scatter every time, which seems to be a bit time-consuming.

Regarding this, Corona doesn't currently keep this kind of information in memory and pretty much everything is re-parsed if you restart rendering or move the timeline slider. There are plans to improve this.
