updated to the newest daily build and get a chaos licensing error. but when i open the license server is goes to a errored page. Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

[C4D] Daily Builds / empty view ports after latest update

With the most recent daily build update I started getting black/empty viewports. The scene would be visible once opened but as soon as I change to a different view or navigate the scene it turns black. After my queue finishes im going to reinstall corona without any daily builds. Has anyone else experienced this and know a fix or what might be causing this?

Absolutely stunning! The texture on the wall where the lights hit is pure texture porn lol. I would love to turn this into a bathroom though (thats my line of work lol)

[C4D] I need help! / .mtl issue again

I've made posts about this before but never got a true solution. I've gone through 1000s of models that come with .OBJ and .MTL files but have never been able to figure out how to get the mtl files to upload with the objects. I've linked a scene below and was wondering if someone more knowledgeable would help show me how to properly import the .MTL file with the scene. OR atleast tell me why it doesnt work.

proportions are important. The plant, the oven, the shelf decor seem off at first glance. You Also have a lot of very sharp/square edges which can effect realism. There are some flat textures in the island and cabinet that need attention too.

Yes it is. there is an exclude and include tab when you select the light source. I honestly cant remember a time when that wasnt there

32G is doable but not ideal. I would recommend 64 as a bare minimum tbh. BUT if you were able to share the scene itself we could take a further look

Well that takes most of the fun out of it. I've had instances where I found the perfect model to purchase, only to find I didn't notice it was Max only. A place like TurboSquid will convert the scene for you, but not create materials. I guess that converter makes sense for someone making the switch from Max to C4D and has both.

welcome to the C4D community! Where we have slim pickings for models compared to everyone else and cant upload mtl files...

While corona is the renderer, c4d is the program that corona runs on. So is c4d has flaws it will most likely effect any engine. However, some people have preferences on what version of c4d they use. if you update to 25 the UI will be changed and might effect your workflow for a while. Personally, I always use the most recent version and just adapt to the UI.

 There could be numerous things causing this issue for you but my first thought would be to clean up temporary files, update drivers and windows if available, and update c4d.
