I was reading the thread about Corona 4 daily builds. Impressive all that was done in 2019. Congrats.

One item says: "new media and refraction behavior"

I'm curious to know what it is.

I can't see how this is different from max's 2d pan and zoom, which is already supported by Corona in interactive rendering.

There is a difference when doing 360s if I'm not mistaken.

It involves 3ds max too .. hmmm and at min 47.20 the guys also uses Corona.

(in the Unity blog post they said a limitation of that method is you can't use visible tiled textures like bricks. The method below works with bricks too)


That takes much more time. You need several different maps to use in Multitexture.

I tried all sorts of things. Reset one of them.
Reset materials to grey.
Deleted all object that are on the way...
As far as I can see the portals are placed correctly. I re-did them a couple of times.
Nothing.

CoronaColor: Ability to copy the color in "Result Color Preview".

Specifically, I used Hex color and now I want to use that color and change it a little. If I could copy RMB copy the color and paste it in Solid Color, I'd be able to modify it.

It's not clear to me if Chaos Cloud is just for Vray or if it works, or will work, with corona as well.

I find it to be a little too powerful as well, or at least it's applied too early. You easily lose a lot of surface detail. If there was a way to have it denoise later, it might be better.

With the native bitmap loader at 0.01 I get sharper results than with CoronaBirmap at 0.01.
As far as I can see, there's no difference in CoronaBitmap between blur at 1 and blur at 0.01.

Can you show or share your testing setup? I get completely opposite results than you - Corona bitmap at blur 0,01 is clearly distinct from blur at 1,0, while both native bitmap and Corona bitmap are virtually indistinguishable at blur 0,01.

I did a second test with a different image and starting the scene from scratch.
The results are more or less the same.
What I get is that there's almost no difference between native loader blur @1 and @0,01, and almost no difference between CoronaBitmap blur @1 and @0,01.

HOWEVER, the images rendered with CoronaBitmap are blurrier than the native loader at the same values of blur, giving a blurrier result when lowering the value to its minimum.


I'm sending attached 3 files: 2 photoshop files and the archived 3ds max file.
