Not sure if this is a Corona thing or a 3DSmax thing (it's likely a max thing!)...

Sometimes when I want to select my camera, both the camera and target are automatically selected (that is, the target is added to the selection set). Sometimes this happens, sometimes not... always annoying. Any idea how/why this happens and how to control it?

Many thanks!

Here is how it should be working:
- single click on camera - selects camera
- single click on target - selects target
- single click on the line connecting the camera and the target - selects both the camera and the target

Can you confirm it is working like this?

From my experience, in theory it works like you described it, but in practice, it is pretty hard to select camera only, or target only - you need to be very precise on where you click, otherwise both are selected. Because of that, i often select cameras through layer explorer or right click quad menus. But that' probably 3ds max's issue, because it's not much better with standard, or physical cameras.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

This must be 3dsMax issue because I struggle with this with PhysicalCam, I select from quad-menu like Romullus above.

+1 - another method I frequently use is to switch the viewport to the specific camera (c) and then select the camera or target from the viewport label menu (top left).

We are aware of this and a fix is planned.

I've got the same experience as OP, it relates specifically to the Corona cam - the standard and physical cam are much easier to select in general.

When trying to select the Corona camera, 7 times out of 10 I end up selecting both the target and the camera when clicking just on the camera. Other times I end up selecting nothing and have to click a few times to select the Corona cam...and then end up selecting both the cam and target :-|

Don't know if it makes a difference but I'm using a 4K screen.
Vray who?
