Hi,

This issue has been fixed in Update 2 Hotfix 1 See changelog and download link: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=44934.0

Tried AI enhancer on some challenging image, the result was... funny. I think adding prompting option could greatly increase accuracy of AI enhancements.

That's fair point. I haven't thought about that.

I would argue if this is expected behaviour. I add 3 teapots in the scene, one of them is primitive, the other is mesh, yet another is Corona proxy. I then change scene units and 2 teapots remain the same size while Corona proxy one gets changed its size. It's irrelevant to the user if actually that's primitive's radius was changed and mesh was scaled and Corona proxy is the one that proudly stays true to its measurements. I think Corona should adopt 3ds Max behaviour as this is what the user is expecting and is getting used too.

3ds Max 2024.2 Corona 13 RC1

Corona proxy scale gets wrong when changing scene units. See attached gif.

Yes you can assign different HDRIs to every camera, but that won't make them rotate in sync with that camera. For that you'd have to animate U offset of HDRI, or use transform from object feature and animate some dummy object, which i find more convenient.

38
Unfortunately this is side effect of multiple inputs/outputs feature. AFAIK devs said they can't do much about it, since it's limitation of Max slate editor.

39
Corona bitmap has transform from object option, you can assign to each HDRI a different object which would you would animate to make that HDRI rotate as you want.

[C4D] I need help! / Re: IR buttons bug
« on: 2025-06-04, 12:00:18 »
We can consider this solved, right?
When IR reaches its pass limit, it is stopped. Why would you want the stop icon to be still active?

Because you want to stop IR session, but you can't. Instead you have to wiggle the view, or resize VFB to trigger IR and then you can stop it. It's just inconvenience.

It seems that you have pass limit set for IR, so whenever it reaches that limit, IR is stopping and the stop button becomes inactive. It's not a bug, but a normal behaviour, although i admit it slightly irritates me when i can't explicitly stop IR when it pauses because of pass limit.

I can't see nothing particularly wrong in your setup, but maybe roughness and anisotropy are set a bit too high - remember at higher roughness you need lower anisotropy and vice versa. Here's my take, basically the same, but with lower roughness and texture mapped anisotropy. I don't see any obvious artifacts, but as with all metals and especially the ones with anisotropic reflection, it all depends on the environment, so test it in your scene and see if it works there.

It seems that your glass is reflecting much stronger than the reference, i would try to slightly lower IOR. Normally glass has 1.5-1.54 IOR, so default settings should work well, but maybe that's some special glass with lower index of refraction, who knows. Also your thin film hues are quite different, i think that means your thin film thickness is not quite right, try to adjust it as well. By the way, In the latest daily build, Corona physical material got built in thin film thickness, so if you're brave enough to use dailies, you can give it a try. I think that would excellent test for the new feature.

I'm merging your new thread with the old one - it's better to have discussions on the same topic in one place.

[Max] I need help! / Re: Corona Color Picker issue

It's a known issue with colour picker. Unfortunately there's not much Corona team can do about that, because it's being handled by 3ds Max. https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=14123.0
