max 2024 default ocio config, Corona 12 hf2:

after changing colour management settings to Rendering Color Space: scene-linear rec 709-sRGB Corona locks Internal color space in Development/experimental stuff to sRGB (linear rec 709).
is this behaviour expected and as designed or should it be considered a bug?
as from the very beginning internal rendering math in Corona was always performed in at least Adobe wide RGB space this might lead to some users switching from 3dsMax default ACEScg to scene-linear rec 709-sRGB, expecting legacy-like (gamma 2.2) setup but in fact limiting Corona to pre-Corona, 2011 VRay's colour math with all its lighting bugs and limitations.

This is .csp lut for Photoshop 32bit mode. tested in Corona 10 and in whatever current PS version is.

save .exr from Corona and do your lightmix/comp/whatever in Photoshop with the one and only ACESOT.

it has the difference between view transforms between Corona and PS baked in, so 8-16bit output from Corona will match 8-16bit output from PS.

Bit of a gripe - come on Corona Team - this one was sloppy. Please consider updating the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9Ym2QHTm4Q.

Do not use Gamut node on Fusion page, just select your exr layers. Use Adjustement Clip on top of your lightmix with ACES Transform effect. Adjustments to lights do on Color page.

Full tone mapping solution in just one LUT. simple and consistent between applications.
.3dl >> CIE
.csp >> PS/AP
old trusty formula for filmic look. falls somewhere between aces an fstorm. this one is ageing extremely well.

I've been rendering some tests lately regarding feasibility of creating that sort of effects in render without any kind of post. render, save it, done.
anybody have experience with that in Corona? (not colored aperture maps - I need something realistic)

question: any chance of setting IOR below 1? when I'm inputting it as color - value of 0.9 gives me IOR 1.1
