Hey guys, I've been searching and experimenting but cant seem to get the shadow catcher working well/at all for what I need in my scene.  And Corona seems really sluggish while I'm using shadow catcher too which has made me question whether I am doing it right.

What I am trying to do....
I have a scene with a stationary camera and a moving plant and curtain (blowing in a breeze).  I want to render the room (plant and curtain hidden) as a single frame, and then render the plant, curtain separately for a little more control and the option to switch these for different plant or wind speed simulations at a later date. And maybe shorter render times overall...

Is this possible? and if so what would the correct workflow be?

Thanks

Sounds like it should be possible. Can you post your results so far? It would greatly help to understand what the issue actually is.
Have you seen this tutorial?
