Hello. Want to ask, if it's possibe somehow to implement in Corona such feature that will send rendered pictures via email?
As far as I remember, this option was the base of 3rd party plugin "Power render terminate".
Thanks

Its stupid to even consider it, its just a feature that can be used once in a milion renders.

I suggest installing dropbox, then setting the output path to the dropbox > Render XYZ. This way files will be uploaded as soon as they are created. You can share the fodler link instead of sending large images via email.

Once again, its stupid especialy when you do some real work.

If I had this question, it means that it matters for me for some reason.
Anyway, thanks for answer ...

Keep calm. It's just a feature request, no one gets hurt...

I've never used or tried it myself, but what about max's own email feature? Looks like it should do what you want (at least if it's not broken like many other old functions in max).

[Edit] Ah, sorry, I forgot that it should send the rendering too.
Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.

iMotion, why don't just use Power render terminate?
it's a great tool, and it's just been updated for max2014!

btw the developer shared sources also to someone who want to take future development of this script

Well, I am equally baffled as Tanakov why someone had implemented that. Sounds like computer case with in-built microwave to save those few steps.
It's kind of odd too, since even 16bit .exrs/.png are 30Mb+ which don't fit in emails so the advice with dropbox is much more clever solution. Or any cloud/remote control (I check my renders from windows phone)
Edit: Anyway, that plugin on other hand looks kind of useful, l usually avoid backburner so this looks helpful in those cases.

Hey, people. Really, it is no sense to make stir. Plugins - great idea, but I just requesting feature, trying to understand is that possible to make it native inside Corona.
2 Juraj_Talcik: About microwave inside PC case - I can talk the same about everything related, for example why we need "exposure compensation" option in post production when we can do the same in Photoshop etc.

don't get offended, the request was quite funny on first notice, atleast until I thought for minute how it could be useful :- )

Anyway, it's definitely not the same, exposure is inherently tied to creating images simulating camera, but email client is not.
If there's one thing (apart from great quality of renderer itself) that distinguishes Corona from competition at this point,
is the simplicity of integrating only necessary things and not overdoing it on robust gimmicks. Neat and minimal UI is one of those things.

Its very hard to offend me, dont worry ;-). Yes, quite possibly, I will not argue about only important things & minimalistic interface. Less load of things - less lags and errors inside engine, but who knows, maybe Ondra could implement such feature really perfect. But what about Power Render Terminate ? Is it really works in 2014th Max & Corona?

In fact we are currently discussing creating a new, and possibly gamechanging workflow for Corona. But it would be a separate project. I like the UNIX philosophy: have your tool do 1 thing only, but do it good.

Ondra! Dear! When we should expect the main miracle of new 2014 year? (about A6) ;-)

This confused me bit. Interestingly, it sounds like something Radiance (RefractiveSoft/Octane render, now Otoy) said on forum straight before Beta's completion. Sure scared lot of folks :- )
Nonetheless, very curious
