Hi jetcrow, I simply use the Oculus 360 Photos application which you can download from the Oculus store for free. I use a S7 Edge phone for this.

Thanks,

I recently tried this same workflow for a stereoscopic 360 video and the wall I kept running into is that I needed to convert my video to an .mp4. I can't find any software that will allow me to export an 8k x 8k or even a 4k x 4k video, because MP4's max resolution is 4096 x 2304. The only possible solution I have found around this is buying a license of KRpano. KRpano allows you to input two separate sets of image sequences (one for each eye) and it does the rest for you. The problem is that I want to be able to post 4k and 8k video to youtube, and I just can't find a way.

Anyone happen to have a solution to this?

Thanks!

There was a whole discussion on this in here:
https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,10592.0/all.html
Basicly it came down to, that nobody really had enough experience with Iphones to give a good app suggestion, everyone with iphones in the thread ended up using a web based solution. Mostly kpano was used, as it is the currently most feature rich, as demoed by a V-Ray render here: http://wip.sbrusse.com/BB_CubeMap/
But kpano has a price tag, the free alternative, that requires tinkering is this free github project: https://github.com/borismus/webvr-boilerplate

It was mentioned HERE, that user 88qba88 was building an IOS app, you may PM him and ask whether this is still current or whether I just shit posted wrong info. (I hope i didnt mistake it for his webbased app for posting VR images)

Otherwise, look for a solution yourself or as maru suggested, ask on Reddit in a related subforum. If you find something please do post it in the Cardboard thread for others to see what you found.
