Hi all,

I'm using the free viz-people grass (as a proxy) combined with Corona scatter to produce grass in my latest project.

As you can see in the screenshot, a persistent problem I have is that because the grass proxy is clumped into approx 50cm disc-shaped objects, occasionally some of the scattered proxies creep off the edge of the scatter base and onto other geometry. I'd like a clean edge to the grass...

Is there something I'm missing to get the sharp edges? Or is my best option to use smaller clumps of grass? What is the best practise here?

Cheers,

There are two ways, which involve Corona Distance map:

1) Make grass clumps closer to the edges much smaller

2) Make grass blades transparent when they are inside some kind of cutter geometry

Thanks Maru,

These worked. I'm now familiar with, and loving, corona distance maps!

Much appreciated.
