Hi there, I'm trying to create a hair material where the colour of the root is different to the tip. So far all I get is a gradient across all hairs. From the Chaos tutorial on https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/4526317514513-Corona-Hair-Material-C4D I'm pretty sure it's possible? Could someone please point me to what I may have missed in the settings? I've set the grad to 2D-v and it doesn't seem to do the desired result that's in the tutorail.

Thank you.

Either something was changed in Corona or the screenshot at our Help Center is wrong, but you should change the mapping direction where it says "2D - V". Try picking the other items from that list, one of them should work.

Yep, something is broken. As a workaround, you can use a spline tag and a physical mat.

Yeah, I did not manage to get it working the way I would expect it.
The workaround would be to use a reference object (a box, plane or other) with adjusted UVW mapping and then use that object for hair UVW mapping. But it's not simple (I still don't fully understand how to do it) and the results I got were kinda glitchy.

Just a note:
Using standard C4D workflow "Add Hair" and its "Hair Mat" works just fine (w/ latest v13 daily).

Thanks for getting back to me @burnin sorry for my slow reply, I've been on Holiday. Is there any way you could go into this in more steps. I've never used the corona spline tool before and haven't been able to work out your work around.

Thanks again.
