Yes, they are similar. I think the best solution for you is to add them to a layer and rename that X or Y. Select your Corona materials, right click, add to new layer. Do the same for C4D if need be. You can rename them via the layer manager. This is will also make your material editor less cluttered. ;)

Thanks for the file, I can confirm this is happening also, even on older builds of Cinema. Scene prep was only 7 secs here, same in R19.
