Title: Sunday Morning
Post by: RomanLyakhovskii on 2023-05-30, 13:47:45
Location: somewhere in Ukraine
Software: 3D MAX | CORONA RENDERER | ADOBE PHOTOSHOP | QUIXEL MEGASCANS

I created this work with memories of the happiest days before the war. Every Sunday we gathered with friends for breakfast, shared news, successes and laughed a lot. The war scattered us all over the world. My work reflects this lost atmosphere and hopes for a better future and reunion. Ukraine will win. And I dream of meeting again at the same table, in the same place.

Thanks for watching!

Wow, these are crisp! Any magic going on with tonemapping settings or simply thorough work on materials and lighting? Love the contrast and color vibrancy - something that gets 'washed out' when making renderings, then doing posts etc.

Well done.

Yeah, that DOF and circular bokeh effect is really nice. Not common in Corona, is it done somehow else?

Hello thanks!) I would say it's a combination. I always use ACET OT, filmic mapping and some lut

Hey, thanks!) No I used only corona for this. I advise you to read this, here it is written how to achieve such an effect

I like the part 'some lut' ;) a true magician never reveals his secrets!

I find ACES OT a bit too contrasty on the blacks, and found success with Marcin Piotrowski tonemapping luts, in combination with filmic mapping as well. Maybe it's time to experiment a bit more with tonemapping settings and new luts.

Haha, no, there are no secrets, most often I use grunge LUT)

We have a new experimental DOH Highlights Solver in Corona 10. It would probably help render this kind of scene faster. :)
