Hello to all
I do not know if the subject was already covered, but I wanted to know how I can make materials for quality vegetation, for example leaves, grass etc. When I used V-Ray there was the 2sised command in Corona I struggle to get the same result.
Thanks in advance
Andrea

I'd check out the foliage material tutorial at
The FrontBack map would be the one to use for having two different materials on each side of a leaf. Hope this helps!

Tom was faster with the leaves.
So, just the basics of a 2 sided material in Corona:
Layer shader with material for one side in the base slot, the other in the next layer. As a mask, the normal direction shader. Done.
-
The layered shader works well for a mat with two different textures. But the vray 2sided mat has this nice translucent effect which you can use very well for nice lighting effects (a light behind a fabric for example) . How can you achieve this effect with Corona?
-
In Corona you use the cinema own normal direction shader to mask both materials... just change the colors in it more to a grey and voila you have it. ;)
-
Imho no need to use normal direction shader here, just use translucency chanel in your mat.
"Fraction" is the strength of the effect: 0%(no effect) .. 100%(only translucent map visible) => (black/white map to controll translucency strength)
"Color" or "Texture" place a brighter version of your diffuse map here (for leaf materials i use the diff map inside a filter shader to push brightness)
