Hi guys!

Recently I took the time to do a few of additional close-ups from projects I was working on, these are just some small details, but I enjoyed making them and hopefully you'll enjoy watching them.

Have a great week!
Simon

Your glass looks amazing. I love the subtle fingerprints!

Could probably do with de-noising a few of these though maybe. I'm new to Corona, so new to these techniques. It's bringing me right back to noisy Maxwell renders 10 years ago!

Pleasant renders,  well done.
I hope we can have the new adaptivity so we can get over the noisy areas like in your render. I got them too and I have to apply some denoise post.p.

Love the lighting in your scene. What setup did you use?

The noisy DOF/edges is indeed bit standing out in renders since it looks so off from photographical noise. I always do some quick masking in PS on those areas and de-noise it. They're already blurry because of DOF, so there is no detail loss and it takes 2 minutes to do.

On second note, is there also some 'sharpening' ? Looks too crisp to be pleasant.

rambambulli: Thanks. It's a pretty standard setup: hdri+corona sun.

Juraj_Talcik: Yup, true, true, tho I get the feeling that when you de-noise the out of focus hilights you also loose that nice bokeh effect, don't you? Yes, a bit of sharpening was added, will keep in mind next time.

Take care and have a great weekend

Oh sorry that's not what I meant! :) Just meant that the approach that we need to take our renders and de-noise them reminds me of the old Maxwell days. I've been spoiled these last years with clean VRay renders and this is now a change back to the old ways that I wasn't expecting. But overall I'm enjoying Corona a lot. The quality of light is a worthwhile benefit for the sacrifice of time and noise, which can be overcome either with denoising or money.
