Hello. I want to make material for these hubs. And I asked how to do it.

The first material is huge flakes, inside each of which there is a rainbow.

The second material is a film that gives different rainbow reflections from different angles.

Any recommendations and ideas are welcome.

What I got is no good.

I think the normal map should have flat coloured cells, so that each cell would be oriented to slightly different direction. Unfortunately 3ds Max cell shader is pretty limited, so i baked the map in Substance. I probably would try to use Siger's thin film plugin and use greyscale cell texture to control it. Normal map texture might not be needed in that case.

Very nice thank you
I tried to do the same in substance, but I don't know this program well. I can't turn the cells map into a normal map. although Voronoi works well, but, as you said, it has a flat structure. But Voronoi not flat.

i blend romullus map and my voronoi (for aniso effect) maps
then make 2 options of flakes material
then blend it all by 80% to my main Aluminum material
then just add decals

if some one interesting, attached mat screenshot

Nice result!

I tried to do the same in substance, but I don't know this program well. I can't turn the cells map into a normal map. although Voronoi works well, but, as you said, it has a flat structure. But Voronoi not flat.
I used gradient node to remap greyscale cells 4 to coloured normal texture. Painter's gradient is limited to 10 positions, that's 2 positions of negative, 2 positions of positive shift for greens and same for reds. I also utilized one of two remaining positions for neutral value (128, 128, 255). If gradient in Designer offers more positions, then you can use them to achieve more variations of flakes rotation.

Such materials, with physically correct shading, are actually included in Chaos Scans:
